Ockbrook School receives inspections from two organisations:

Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), the body approved by the Secretary of State for Education and Skills for the purpose of inspecting independent schools in ISC under Section 162 of the Education Act 2002
Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) which inspects and regulates care for children and young people, and inspects education and training for learners of all ages.

Independent School’s Inspectorate

Our most recent whole School inspection took place in February 2006.  The conclusion of the inspection was as follows:

The school is successful in achieving its aims and aspirations.  It meets the pupils’ needs in fulfilling their academic potential, developing their spiritual and moral awareness and promoting high levels of achievement across a wide range of activities.  It is under very good leadership, has capable staff who contribute significantly to the success of the school, and has a pastoral care system of very good quality.  As a result, the pupils’ personal development is very good as is evident in the manner in which they show respect for others, in their practical concern for those around them and in their interest in the wider national and international community.  Their maturity, their self-confidence and the very broad range of abilities they exhibit are indicative of the benefits they gain from the school and at the same time are the qualities that allow them to make a significant contribution to the life of the school.

Ofsted

Ockbrook School’s Early Year’s Department was inspected by Ofsted inspectors in late May/early June 2008.  The conclusion of the inspection was as follows:

The quality and standards of the nursery education are outstanding.
